Dr. Bhimaraya Metri has been appointed as Director, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, according to reports. Dr Metri, who held the position of Director of IIM Trichy, takes over the role from LS Murty who was Director from 2017-2020.
Dr Metri holds a PhD from IIT Powai and is an alumnus of the Government College of Engineering, Karad, and Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
Prior to his association with IIM, Dr Metri worked with various organisations such as L&T Institute of Project Management Vadodara, MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, and BITS Pilani.
He also serves as the Chairperson of various national institutions, such as the All India Board of Management Studies, AICTE, AIMA Board of Studies and HR & Innovation Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards.
