James Thorley, Regional Vice President – APAC, Turnitin, has over 14 years of experience in the education technology sector.
He has a proven track record in leading and motivating multi-national teams to implement strategies, maximise opportunities and exceed targets.
Thorley is an expert in developing and implementing strategies that enable technology to meet the needs of Higher Education institutions.
In January 2016, he established Turnitin’s Asia-Pacific business and under his leadership, Turnitin has expanded into new regions in APAC and seen significant revenue growth.
Thorley was also Director of International Sales for Asia, Africa and the Middle East at Turnitin; managing partners from the UK office.
He is passionate about sharing best practices around technology and policy adoption in education, with the goal of improving education across the region.
Thorley is also an experienced speaker, presenting at various education events and conferences such as Asia Pacific Conference on Academic Integrity.
