Prof. (Dr.) Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, KIIT, Bhubaneshwar, is an academician with a passion for research and schooling combined with an innovative pragmatically approach.
She is Chairperson of KIIT Technology Incubation Centre and is also Director of the Centre of Excellence on Occupational Health and Safety established at KIIT in association with BG BAU, Germany.
She is the University Rank Holder in Master of Commerce and completed her PhD in Management. She has a Fellowship from the State Department, USA, as among the 10 Academic Administrators of South East Asia in 2016.
Prof Samanta is the recipient of the ‘Rajeev Smruti Award 2010’, ‘Manager of the Year 2013’ by Oxford Summit of Leaders, CMAI Association of India- ‘Best Director of the Year Award 2014’, the Academic Leadership Award 2015, the ‘Bharat Gaurav Award 2014’ by International Friendship Society, and the ‘Chinta O Chetana, National Award – 2018’ by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, among others.
