Shane Kells is the Director at the International School of Riga, in Latvia. Prior to Latvia, Kells has been an educator and administrator for the past 32years in several countries around the World.
Kells started career as an Elementary teacher at E E Oliver Elementary School in Fairview, Alberta, Canada, and worked there for 6 1/2 years. From 1997 – 2002, I was first a teacher and later an administrator at the Technical Studies Institute in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
Kells became the Founding Head of School at Utahloy International School – Zeng Cheng near Dongguan in Guangdong Province, China. The school opened in 2002 and Kells remained there as Head of School until 2007.
From there, Kells was Director at American International School in Kingston, Jamaica and am now at ISR in Riga, Latvia.
Kells has been the Head of School at 4 IB DP schools, having implemented the program at one, and has led the others through accreditations.
