Christine Stayte is an experienced educator, Education for Sustainability expert, and UN Climate Change Educator. She has had a passionate interest in sustainability since she could remember and has embedded ESD in her teaching and learning since she began teaching in 1986.
As Stayte has journeyed from the classroom to curriculum development and finally to leadership, she has endeavored to ensure that through inquiry, creativity, curiosity, and action; sustainability has continued to be an integral part of every school she has worked in.
Stayte has also been a research contributor for Peru to UNESCO Research paper: The Contributions of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) To Quality Education – A Synthesis of an International Research Project and has been awarded a MSc Education for Sustainability with Distinction from London Southbank University.
As a Coordinating PYP Principal at Sekolah Ciputra, Surabaya Indonesia, Stayte brings her experience and passion for Sustainability and SDGs into her leadership in order to promote action and to make the world a better place.
