Amidst Omicron, Calcutta University all set to conduct examinations online
With the Omicron variant of Covid surfacing in different conditions of the country, Calcutta University has chosen to hold the assessments for the main, third and fifth semesters at the undergraduade and postgraduate levels in internet based mode in January and February.
Calcutta University Vice-Chancellor Sonali Chakrabarty Banerjee said on Thursday, as another variation of Covid-19 has arisen, the organization at a gathering chose to lead the tests and examinations in online mode as of now.

Classes have effectively begun at UG and PG levels, in north of 150 partnered schools and on the college grounds separately, on substitute dates, both in disconnected and online modes. The VC said tests for the third and fifth semesters at UG-level and the third semester at PG-level will be held in January.
The semester exam for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels is likely to be held in February, she said. Like last year, the college will mail delicate duplicates of the inquiry papers to the subsidiary universities on the assessment days other than transferring the inquiries on its site. Students can type the appropriate answer in their smart devices and mail them to an assigned location. They can likewise download the inquiry papers, compose the appropriate responses on papers, examine the answer sheets and mail them as a PDF document.
