IIT Mandi and the Republic of Korea will investigate academic and research partnerships
IIT Mandi hosted representatives from South Korea and discussed potential partnerships with South Korean academic institutions.
Collaborations on academic and research projects are being investigated by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi and the Korean Embassy. IIT Mandi was recently visited by Mr Hyo Hee Lee, the embassy’s science and technology attaché, and Dr YJ Park, director of the Indo-Korean Center for Research and Innovation (IKCRI), New Delhi. Officials from both institutions talked about collaborating with South Korean universities during the two-day visit.
Dr. Park and Mr. Lee visited a number of cutting-edge labs during their visit, including the MANAS Lab, the ACS Lab and Advanced Materials Research Center, the BioX Center, the Center for Design and Fabrication of Electronic Devices (C4D FED), the IIT Mandi iHub and HCI Foundation (iHub), and others. They spoke with the students and researchers at each of these establishments.
IIT Mandi director Prof. Laxmidhar Behera stated, “IIT Mandi has a common aim to inspire scientific institutions, the academic community, and young professionals to interact through collaborative coordinated efforts in inventive work to nurture improvements for the favourable turn of events.”
Behera, Park, and Lee talked about the agreement that will be inked between IIT Mandi and Yonsei University College of Medicine, the Korean ambassador’s visit to India, and his participation in the institute’s colloquium.
“The IKCRI encourages research collaboration between India and the Republic of Korea. It manages a shared platform to link the scientific, technology, and innovation ecosystem in India and Korea, according to a release from IIT Mandi.
