On Monday, that is on the 6th of September 2021 Supreme Court refused to approve a plea seeking the re-scheduling of the NEET-UG examination. The plea was filed by a group of students who were partaking in the CBSE class 12 examination. As per the students, the NEET-UG examination was clashing with other national level examinations because of which his decision was taken.

The court has asked the students to make a presentation before the NTA or the National Testing Agency. The hearing was adjourned on Friday and the petitioner prayed for the rescheduling medical entrance examination date immediately after the competitive and the ongoing Board examinations. However, as per reports, it has been declared that the NEET-UG will not get postponed as there is no direct clash of any with other CBSE Board examinations which is scheduled to be held on 12th September.

One of the NTA officials said that the decision regarding the multiple attempts in the NEET-UG will only be taken by the Health Ministry. For now, there are no plans for increasing the number of attempts in the medical entrance examinations.

A group of students is demanding the NEET-UG to be postponed as there is a clash with the compartment exams, CBSE board improvement, and other entrance exams.

Recent reports clear that CBSE Class 12 students would have the Biology exam on September 6, and Physics exam on September 9, with two other major science papers falling on the same week of the NEET-UG exam.

Other entrance exams such as AP EAMCET would be held on September 3rd, 6th, and 7th. Again, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) examination will be held on September 7th and 9th.
