Guidelines issued by the Tamil Nadu Government as the local schools reopen

  • 6 feet of distance shall be maintained in between the students with a revised seating plan.
  • There should be preferable markings in between the seats.
  • The school premises should be properly sanitized and clean.
  • There must be the availability of key supplies like disinfectants, soap, thermometer, sanitizers, and other hygiene-related supplies.
  • Schools should ensure a proper social distancing at both the entry and exit points.
  • Physical distancing should be strictly maintained in the administrative rooms, office areas, and staff rooms.
  • Markings that indicate safety protocol and social distancing must be displayed to the students, teachers, and parents.
  • Schools should not conduct events where social distancing cannot be maintained.
  • At the entry points, the schools should have the facility to sanitize the students, teachers, parents, community members, hostel staff, and others to tackle the covid-19 challenges.
