The UPSC Civil Services Cut-off 2020: Things You Need To Know
Recently, the UPSC Civil Services Result 2020 cut-off marks have been released by the UPSC or Union Public Service Commission. All the candidates can check their qualifying scores on the official website, upsc.gov.in.
A few days back, the UPSC commission also declared the Civil Services results of 2020 last week, where 761 candidates passed the exam, of whom, 216 are female and 545 are male.
Note:
- The cut-off marks are calculated based on the GS Paper-I only. The GS Paper-II was an easy-to-qualify paper with 33% marks. This is based as per Rule-15 of UPSC Examination, 2020
- The cut-off marks are also subjected to 10% marks in each of the seven competitive papers i.e. GS-I, GS-III, GS-II, GS-IV, Essay, Optional-I & Optional-II.
In the case at least two or more candidates have gotten equivalent total marks in the Civil Services Examination, 2020, the tie(s) has been settled as per the standards supported by the commission, viz.
- Candidates getting more scores in the Personality Test and Compulsory Papers set up is to be positioned higher; and
- On the off chance that where the scores referenced at (I) above are equivalent, the up-and-comer senior in age is to be positioned higher.
