Dr. Sandeep Sancheti, Vice-Chancellor, SRM Institute of Science & Technology is known as the ‘Institution Builder’.

He holds a PhD from Queens University of Belfast, UK, after obtaining a BTech (ECE) from Regional Engineering College, Warangal, and also holds an MSc in Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.

Dr Sancheti began his professional career at MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, as Assistant Professor in the Department of ECE in 1984 and later moved to Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur (now MNIT) as Associate Professor in 1990.

He is the recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship under the Colombo Plan from 1992-95 and was awarded the SERC Fellowship by DST, Government of India in 1998.

Dr Sancheti is also a Life Fellow of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, the Institution of Engineers, India, the Broadcast Engineering Society and the Indian Society for Technical Education.

He has published more than 75 research papers in several national and international journals and conferences.
