Known as one of the youngest Vice Chancellors of the country, Dr. Shetty has first completed his MBBS degree and later went on pursue Master’s Degree in Radio Diagnosis from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College. He was awarded the prestigious Paediatric Radiology Fellowship by University of Texas and Fellowship in Body Imaging from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Shetty is known in the International arena for developing the MR PET technology for early detection and staging of Cancer without Radiation. As an eminent Radiologist, Dr Shetty has worked in many International hospitals and Universities like Yale University Connecticut USA, Texas Children Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, St Lukes Episcopal Hospital Houston, Hamad International Hospital, Doha, and Cleveland Clinic, USA.

Dr. Shetty is known for his remarkable contributions in the field of education and was conferred with Higher Education Leadership Award at World Education Summit in 2016. Apart from being a thorough educationist, he is also involved in Social Projects and have masterminded some of the most innovative Social Projects like Green Graduation, University District Adoption and Doctor at School. Dr. Shetty has been an eminent guest speaker not only in India but also in USA and has been active participant in Public Health Care Programs like Cost Effective Health Care by Natural Living, Regular Health Check Program, H1N1 and other Vaccination Programs.
