Dr Hemalatha S Murthy is Principal Director of White Petals School and Group of Institutions. Her focus is on changing the trends and methods of teaching in rural areas and her aim is to find and pursue changes in the field of education and to nurture the younger generation to equip them for the future.
Dr Murthy holds a BSc and MSc in Microbiology from Bangalore University. She also completed her B.Ed. from Bangalore University aims in 2015, a PhD in Microbiology and a post-doctorate in Microbiology
She has served as a Senior Lecturer for 9 years at MSR Institution, and also held the position of Principal at many educational institutions, including Vijayashree School and Collage, Royale Concorde Group and SPM Gurukul, among others.
Dr Murthy is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and seminars and she is also the recipient of numerous awards and honours including, a Gold Medal in Sri Lanka for Food & Quality Analysis, the ‘Outstanding Leadership Principal’ award by London School of Advanced Studies, Mumbai, ‘Creative Superwoman’ award by Tonga University, the ‘Best Principal and Women Creative Educator’ award by Bangalore Sahodaya.
