Dr Sunil Rai, Vice-Chancellor of UPES, Dehradun, is an ex-Naval officer and a distinguished academician. He has held several leadership profiles across institutions such as Vice-Chancellor of The MIT Arts Design & Technology University, Pune, Director on Board of Maharashtra IT Corporation, Govt of Maharashtra, among many others.

Dr Rai has established successful academic collaborations across global universities in the USA, France, and Germany. He is a GC Member in National Body of Accreditation, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, and is on the Board of Advisors, Outreach Programs of Virginia Polytechnic University, Blacksburg, USA.
