Dr A Govardhan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, is presently a professor of Computer Science and Engineering, as well as Principal at JNTUHCEH and an Executive Council Member of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad.

He holds a BE from Osmania University College of Engineering, an MTech from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

Dr Govardhan has held several academic and administrative positions including Director of School of Information Technology, Director of Evaluation, JNTUH and Principal of JNTUHCEJ.

He is also Chairman and a member on several boards of studies of various universities and is a member on the editorial boards for twelve international journals.

Dr Govardhan is the recipient of numerous international and national awards including the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan National Award, the AP State Government Best Teacher 2012 Award, the Pride of Asia International Award, the Bharat Seva Ratna Puraskar and the Bharat Jyoti Award, among others.
