Anju Sharma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Government of Gujarat, is a member of the prestigious Indian Administrative Service and has been serving in the Government in senior leadership positions for more than 28 years.

She has an MBA in Marketing & Finance and a Master’s in International Development Policy from Duke University, USA.

During her administrative career, Sharma has worked as Collector and DDO in various districts of Gujarat. She has also worked as Director in Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

Sharma has received the ‘Prime Minister’s Award for Administrative Excellence’ for implementing the Sickle Cell Anemia Control Program in the State, 2011.

She is also the recipient of the Best Performance in the State Startup Ranking Award by DIPP, Government of India, the ‘Individual Contribution Award for Health Insurance Scheme – Rashtriya Swasthya BimaYojna 2011’ and ‘NASSCOM Social Innovation Leaders Award’, among others.
