Dr Shrihari Prakash Honwad, President, Sir Padampat Singhania University, has 15 years of experience in teaching.

He has a BE in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (Pilani), and an ME and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Prof Honwar is a Fellow of the Energy Institute, UK and a Senior Research Fellow of the Indian Institute of Science. He is also a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Energy Engineer.

He previously served as Vice-Chancellor of GD Goenka University, Gurgaon and was associated with the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies as Vice-Chancellor, Dean, Professor and Campus Director between 2009 and 2017.

He was Assistant Professor at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering and was also Assistant Professor and Principal of DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering.

Prof Honwar is the author of 4 research papers which have been published in international journals.
