Reekrit Serai is an Educator, Publisher, Author and Investor. He is currently the Managing Director of Satluj Group of Schools (Satluj Public Schools, Satluj World Schools and Little Satluj Pre-Schools), one of North India’s largest and oldest and largest private, independent K-12 group of schools, founded in 1976, with its headquarters near Chandigarh.
Under his leadership, Satluj has been catapulted into the Top 5 CBSE & Day/Day Boarding Schools of India, No. 1 in Haryana; Future 50 Schools of India (Fortune Magazine); awarded for Innovation in Pedagogical Practices at the World Education Summit; honoured as a ‘Great Place to Study’ in the world at the House of Commons, London, UK, amongst other national/international felicitations. Serai has been honoured as an ‘Education Stalwart’ at the India School Merit Awards, ‘WOW Edupreneur of the Year’ at the Global Teacher Awards and recognised for ‘School Leadership’ at the ‘World Education Summit’.
Serai is the Co-Founder and Director of Rumour Books India, one of India’s largest and reputed English-language trade publishing houses, and the official publisher of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi’s, ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
Serai has spoken at top education forums and events, including the World Education Summits, BW BusinessWorld School Leaders’ Conclave, EdTechReview K-12 Conference, the ProgressiveTeacher Education Conclave and Teaching Excellence Awards, CII Global Exhibition on Services, CII School Summit, etc and conclaves hosted by top universities, industry bodies, media houses, corporations and governments on innovation, education, entrepreneurship and EdTech.
Serai specialises in investing in and advising startups and top global education organisations and also serves on the boards of successful EdTech (Educational Technology or EduTech), Education (and Educational), PubTech (Publishing Technology), Publishing, Small-Cap and Mid-Cap companies as an Advisory Board Member. He is also a Trustee, Board Member and Director of reputed Not-for-Profit organisations.
